Set up your own business from home making soap. Sell at craft fairs, Farmers Markets or over the internet. Therapists can make soap to their own recipes to suit their clients and their specialities. Soapmaking is ideal for aromatherapists. This enjoyable business has very low start-up costs.
This course will literally save you hours of laborious personal research. Many new soap makers become confused about the legalities of soap making and indeed many of the queries on soap-related Internet chat rooms revolve around soap making legislation and how to have
soap certified as safe for sale to the public by a cosmetic chemist or
toxicologist. This information, and much more is included in this
course, we also provide you with links to information on the legislation
on Government web sites so that you can keep track of changes and
updates.
The aim of this course is to enable you to learn to make soap using a glycerine base and to be able to sell that soap, fully compliant with the current European Union regulations regarding the sale of toiletries. This course includes detailed explanations of these
regulations. It is important to be aware of the regulations governing soap making because they set very important safety standards. Many soapmakers are unaware
that this legislation is on place.
This course offers a complete guide to establishing your own soap making business. Whether you are interested in a part time income, a career change or for personal interest, this course will prove invaluable.

The award which you’ll receive from The College of Integrated Therapies upon successful completion of the course is the Certificate of Glycerine Soap Making and Selling.
This can be used to demonstrate that you have completed the training to a
satisfactory standard.
You will further be entitled to use the letters CGSS after your name and on your promotional material, showing you to have undertaken a course of study and achieved a level of competence in this field.
Once you have had your products certified you also become eligible to join
the Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry
Makers. The Guild is open to any craft soap maker whose
products are certified, completion of this training course is not a
condition of membership.
