Advanced Diploma in Professional Stress Management

(Your name) Adv. Dip. PSM

NCP LogoThis course is independently Accredited by the National Council of Psychotherapists. Graduates become eligible to apply for Affiliate Level Membership (Your name ANCP) within this prestigious and long established Professional Organisation.

We are justifiably proud that the NCP have assessed our course as meeting their criteria for student registration with them - this is an important early boost to your career. The NCP has an international membership.

The Advanced Diploma in Professional Stress Management is a comprehensive and detailed training program which will provide you with a wealth of knowledge, information, practical skills through inbuilt exercises and a comprehensive manual of techniques.  Everything in fact, to equip you for a career in Stress Management.

Since its launch, this course has attracted attention from both experienced professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills base and students at entry level who wanted to hit the ground running with credible training and eligibility to apply upon graduation for professional membership of a prestigious organisation.  This course offers all of this and more!

We maintain one of the lowest student to tutor ratios that we are aware of. We are a no frills organisation and do not expect you, the student, to pay for us to print glossy brochures and other expensive overheads.  We much prefer to pay that money to the tutors who work with our students.

More information about the course...

This is a distance learning course. It is anticipated that you should complete your studies in about ten months but, of course, you may shorten or extend this period depending on the amount of time you have available.

The Advanced Diploma covers not only the psychology and physiology of stress, but also the fundamentals of neuro-linguistic programming and the use of hypnosis as an aid to relaxation. The College provides each student with a 280 page Workbook and three essential textbooks as basic course materials. The cost of these materials is included in the tuition fees. In addition, also as part of the course materials, students are provided with a Directory of Interventions containing nearly forty specific treatments and interventions for use with clients.

When you enrol you will receive:

  • A 280 pp Workbook, which forms the backbone of the course. This contains direct references to the relevant pages your course textbooks, tasks and assignments.
  • Course textbooks, the cost of which is included in your fees (Option One)
  • Contact details for your personal tutor who will answer your questions and support you in any way possible throughout the course.

Qualification

On course completion you will be entitled to use the letters Adv. Dip. PSM (Advanced Diploma in Professional Stress Management) after your name, which will tell your clients that, in an area where many unqualified people are putting themselves forward as stress managers, you have received a thorough and professional training. This is especially important for corporate work.

Aims of the course:

  • To provide a professional training in stress management
  • To enable successful graduates to identify potential causes of stress and advise on stress prevention strategies
  • To enable successful graduates to work with clients suffering from stress, to identify its causes and design appropriate stress management strategies
